Reader’s Question:

I am a single mother from Lafayette, Indiana. I was able to acquire a life insurance for myself, is it a very good idea if am going to get one also for my 12 year old kid?

Donna

Lafayette,IN

That is indeed a very nice move to secure your child’s future. You never know what happens to you in the future and you want your kid to have something in case anything happens to you, which can rob him or her of a lot of things, including financial needs. This can be especially helpful if your child is not yet able to support himself in case you die prematurely.

It would be an advantage on your part because it will cost you less and if you’ll get a permanent life insurance for your child it will accumulate more cash value. For a long period of time you are protecting your child from so many untoward possibilities in the future.

Try to shop for some free quotes online so you get the best deal possible in Lafayette Indiana. This website can also give you free quotes by simply filling out the form without any obligation required. It is always a good habit to shop around for rates in you area so you will get to compare the best offers.

Some insurance companies offer life insurance for a few dollars for children ages 15 days old up to 17 years old. From a small portion of your income you are giving your child the best protection that they need.

Reader’s Question:

I just moved, and I love everything about my new neighborhood. There’s just one puzzle though. I am quite surprised with the premium that I was paying in NY which was so much higher compared to the premium being paid by my colleagues here in Indiana. I hope anyone could help me understand differences in life insurance rates better.

Ronald

Gary, IN

Hello Ronald!

Any 2 insurance policies of the same type and benefits could possibly differ in rates from one state to another. Majority of the insurance companies provide commission to their agents through the premiums that you are paying. This is the reason why premiums are not the same in figures and will always vary from state to state. Also, do not forget the fact that other insurance companies put extra charges if your mode of payment is on a monthly basis instead of paying it annually.

If you wish to maximize the worth of your money, why don’t you reconsider and increase your coverage for your insurance in Gary Indiana IN? Increasing your coverage can sometimes lessen the cost of an insurance too. There are other insurance companies in Gary, IN which will cost less per thousand dollars once you get higher coverage. If the figures will work, then you will be paying a lower premium with a larger coverage.

Since you are now in Indiana, you can go ahead and search the net for some free quotes without any obligations. You can simply type in your zip code on the relevant form in this site and I encourage you to do that since it will give you the chance to get to compare quotes from companies in Gary Indiana IN area.

Reader’s Question:

I’m from in Anderson, Indiana. I’ve talk to an insurance agent here and she offered me a life insurance and presented a specific quotation to me. She said it is the quotation for me and for my needs. Just to make sure I will not be paying so much for my life insurance, I just to want ask how much do I really need.

Rhon

Anderson, IN

You’re asking how much you really need and I think the best answer to your question is for you to answer this: if you are going to die today “How much is enough?”. Now, we both know that if you will die today your family will be the beneficiaries of your hard work. How much do they really need to compensate their needs in case you die prematurely? How much do they really need to satisfy their comforts in case you are gone?

The comforts of your beneficiaries’ future depend largely on how much you’ve invested for them while you are still alive and able. That includes the life insurance that your about to acquire. The tricky part is, how much can you really afford? Do you have the luxury to afford such investment?

To determine how much insurance you’ll need, try thinking about several factors that will affect your premiums. These can be your marital status, your family requirements (monthly or annually), your family’s financial capability, the life insurance cost and benefits for your age bracket, and most of all your personal financial capability.

Meet your insurance agent again in Anderson, IN and talk to her, open up to her your considerations and those factors I’ve sited. In this way you will be able to answer your questions and make a better and effective judgment.

Reader’s Question:

For so many years now, my wife and I have kept a whole life insurance policy. It provides a significant death benefit for both of us, plus a substantial cash value. As our children are doing pretty well, we are thinking about trying to make sure our grandchild can afford to go to college in Indianapolis, Indiana IN. Can our whole life policy help our dear one with college?

Harry

Indianapolis, IN

Hello, Harry.

That’s a pretty generous offer and one your grandchild will never forget. I personally think you have taken good care of your tax-free cash value in your whole life policy in Indianapolis, Indiana IN. You probably know you can borrow against that cash value so that if time may come and you want to consider that to help any future grandchildren.

Most whole life policies pay dividends, so you need to check if yours does too. If you do not need the it, you could use them to begin a college savings program for your grandchildren. It is always wise if you start this early, right?

Another possibility is that you could add your grandchild as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. Your policy probably allows you to set a pre-determined death benefit for your granchildren, leaving the remainder to other beneficiaries. It is a good idea to discuss this aspect of your whole life policy with your carrier in Indianapolis, Indiana IN.

Whole life insurance policy is for the benefit of your loved ones. It sounds to me like you know that and are considering using it for a very worthwhile cause.

I have recently become a single parent due to my divorce. What a mess! I am really concerned about my daughter who still lives with me in Evansville, Indiana. Can I get a life insurance policy with her as beneficiary? What should I do if I purchase one from IN?

Victoria

Evansville, IN

Hello Victoria,

Okay, we are sorry about your recent divorce. Divorce can really become a painful experience all the time. Life insurance is there for you and your daughter. These days it is not uncommon that a life insurance stipulation be placed in a divorce agreement. If something were to happen to you or your ex-husband, where would it place your daughter in terms of education and support? Life insurance is a secure, guaranteed death benefit that can give your daughter the security she needs to proceed with her goals and dreams.

There are many ways to structure the payment of death benefits so that the child beneficiary is protected. We recommend a meeting with your attorney and life insurance agent in Evansville IN as a starting point.

Life insurance statistics indicate that life insurance for single parents is on the rise. In fact, it may be more necessary for single parents to consider the advantages of life insurance. If there are budgetary issues, please consider a term life insurance policy although permanent life insurance has many advantages for your daughter and the policy owner. One way or another, I like your thinking and please make a connection with a local life insurance agent in Indiana for more info.

Reader’s Question:

I believe education is vital to my children’s future. There is probably no greater gift I can provide them than a solid education. Life insurance would seem to assure them that opportunity. Am I right?

Chuck

Bloomington IN

Chuck, you have it!

Life insurance can be used to provide your loved ones the education they need to compete in today’s fast-paced environment. It is a global era and education is a must. Education costs are spiraling way ahead of inflation.

Whole life insurance is a popular way to provide tax-deferred cash when it might be needed. If the need arises, you can borrow to help with rising education costs. The average private, four year college now costs more than $15,000.00 per year. Those costs will surely increase over time. Financial planners are forecasting the total cost of a private four year college experience will soon be about $200,000.00. Whole life policies can be structured to help with that.

And, if something unexpected did occur, whole life insurance provides a guaranteed death benefit. There are tax advantages to whole life as well. Your life insurance agent will be able to help you select the best program available to fit with your goals and capabilities. Chuck, that is the best way to start protecting your children’s education.

Reader’s Question:

Hi there. I’m new to life insurance but I’m interested to buy one since I have witnessed a friend’s life going tough because their now dead mom didn’t get life insurance while alive. My concern however is the money I’ll be spending for the insurance. To start with, I looked into online life insurance quotes here in Fort Wayne. Do these quotes really reveal the price I’m going to pay for the insurance?

April

Fort Wayne, IN

Nice question April!

You’re right when you started with online life insurance quotes to view and compare the prices from different insurance companies. The online life insurance quotes actually provide you premiums and the plans with the assumption that you are healthy and has no medical problem currently or historically. In essence, the online life insurance quotes reveal the real price of the various plans. It’s up to you however, which among the various insurance plans are suitable for your case and paying capacity.

You should take note, however, that the prices from the online life insurance quotes may change once you are found to be an insurance risk during application. The insurance risks are evaluated during underwriting and after submitting all relevant documents such as information sheet and medical exams. What are considered as possible insurance risk are age, medical condition and medical background.

Anyway, if you are sure to be healthy, non-smoking and has clear medical background, the prices in the online life insurance quotes applies. From the online insurance quotes, you can find the cheapest and the most satisfying coverage among many insurance companies. To get the most of your search, get at least five online life insurance quotes to compare with.

Happy searching!

Disability Insurance Indiana IN

Reader’s Question:

A friend of mine from work in Indiana is physically unable to work. He said he needs to get back to work quickly and that his family’s whole life has changed because he cannot work. I need to learn about disability insurance.

Fred

Fort Wayne, IN

Good move, Fred.

Being unable to work has serious repercussions. More than 30% of Americans will be disabled for an extended time before they turn 65. That’s scary.

Disability insurance is a valuable coverage to help families meet their financial obligations and sustain their lifestyle during trying times. Many employers offer group disability insurance and Social Security disability benefits are sometimes available, but both these programs have limitations which generally mean dramatic lifestyle changes.

You should check into your group disability coverage at work. Generally, it covers less than 50% of your income and may have narrow time limitations. Also, workplace disability coverage does not allow for commission or bonus replacement. One thing’s for sure and that is that if you are disabled, your family’s bills will not go away. Supplemental or flexible disability insurance may be a viable solution and you can always find one in Indiana.

A helpful way to think about disability coverage is to add up your monthly expenses and measure those against your work disability program. My guess is that you will see a serious shortfall. Now, imagine being out of work for two years, which is the average disabled period.

Disability insurance is serious. It is hard to contemplate, but it is worth the time to do your homework and protect your family. Hope this helps, Fred and good luck.

Indiana IN Cheap Life Insurance

Reader’s Question:

I have learned from a friend that I am paying so much for my insurance premiums in Indiana. Should I cancel my insurance policy and look for a cheaper insurance policy?

Theresa

Fort Wayne, IN

Good question, Theresa.

I remember I had the same problem a few years ago in Indiana. I learned that I was paying too much premiums for my insurance policy due to the commission which my insurance company was paying to the agent who was handling my account. I had to cancel it but had to wait until I was accepted by my present insurer.

You can do the same because at the moment, you might be paying over the odds. You might be able to make substantial savings by switching to another life insurance provider. But then again, do not cancel yet if you are not accepted by another insurance company.

When you look for cheap insurance policy in Indiana, choose cheap quotes but not cheap coverage. Term life insurance policy is still the cheapest option these days. Remember though that it normally does not have cash value. You can’t just surrender it and take the money out of it. Bear in mind also that term life price may go up sharply at the end of the term.
